In my latest post, I shared insights and thoughts about Qlik World 2023 which had happened back in May at the US. Today’s post is also related with Qlik World, but specifically for Istanbul – Türkiye.
We were really prepared very hard to organize an insightful event not only to share latest trends, but also real-life use cases that our big community have with the latest innovations in BI domain. After one week past, we still get lots of positive feedback from the participants which feels so good.
Just about BI and Analytics context, 5 different success stories were presented by our valued customers from banking, e-commerce, energy, and manufacturing sector. Participants had the privilege of hearing firsthand experiences. These experiences covered topics ranging from augmented intelligence to self-service BI, hybrid architecture to highly customized top management dashboards.
I would like to highlight key topics that are shared.
– AI in BI is not a hype. It is real and achievable. Expectations of customers from a BI solution changed a lot. As a pioneer of BI market in Türkiye for many years, we have foreseen it back in 2017. In one of our public presentations, we called it “You need to chat with your Data”. Almost 8 years later, it is real and in Garanti BBVA’s presentation we see how it enhances the decision-making process.
– Hybrid approach (Qlik Cloud Analytics + Qlik Sense Client Managed): Thanks to Qlik’s one and only hybrid deployment approach. It gives customers the flexibility to choose the best option for their use case. Hepsiburada shares their journey to Qlik Cloud Analytics. How they roll out Qlik Cloud Analytics to business users and achieve self-service while utilizing not only Qlik Sense but also key cloud capabilities like automation.
– Self Service BI: Governed Self-service BI is not a dream. Akbank uses Qlik in lots of different use cases and governed self-service approach is an inevitable part of it. Akbank shares their experiences and show how they design continuous learning analytics platform to keep huge amount of user’s knowledge up to date. They create a culture of collaboration over the Qlik platform and generate more accurate result in a fast and agile way.
– Ease of integration and customization: In today’s world, strong API capabilities of software are an indispensable feature. Qlik’s API first approach made it easy to create fancy top management dashboards. SOCAR Türkiye and Kalyon Holding share how they create top management dashboard from SAP and non-SAP data sets in a fast and agile way.
In summary, the event was an enriching experience, bringing together like-minded individuals who share a passion for innovation and data-driven decision-making. It was a day of connection, learning, and the exchange of valuable insights. Our heartfelt thanks go out to every member of this community – our valued customers, dedicated partners, and Qlik Global. Your contributions and enthusiasm fuel our drive for excellence.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone in our company – BI Technology- who give not only their great talent but also the passion you bring to every step of the process. We could not have achieved without their dedication.
