Since the last Qlik World in-person experience, the World is not the same World. Almost every aspect of social and business life has changed. Covid has shown us what a fragile World we live in.
Inevitably that kind of black swan effect has affects the way we do business. Perception of opportunities and threats has changed. Businesses need to reconsider their strategies in key business lines such as the way they engage with the customers, disruptions in their supply chain.
Under the lights of this circumstances, almost 3 years of in-person Qlik World break, finally we get together with the great community both global customers and partners at Qlik World 2023.
I would like to share 3 important take-away from the event.
- The world of Data & Analytics is getting closer each other. They have not been separated at all. However, they have considered as a silo approach and intersection between those worlds almost dismissed.
With the demand of businesses are more real time, more agile to today’s uncertain World, more holistic approach is much needed. Let me point out one more important thing, the data is not residing in a single space. To achieve businesses demand, we need to leave no data source behind whether internal data source or external data source. So, to do that data integration (like CDC, ELT/ETL, DQ, MDM), should close to the BI and AI world.
Recently, Qlik made lots of investment on data integration side like data cataloging, CDC and ETL/ELT technologies. Moreover, Qlik does not look like to stop investing in data integration domain after they announced intention to acquire Talend which leader in Gartner’s Data Integration Tools Magic Quadrant. In the showcase, a preview of what to expect from that acquisition is very exciting.
Like every business line getting closer to each other in today’s business, data integration and data analytics getting closer to each not only in terms but also in real life examples, as well. It will open new opportunities for customers and partners to create new and innovative business solutions.
2- The Power of Augmented Intelligence: It’s no secret that businesses have been inundated with vast amounts of data over the years. This has resulted in a greater need for advanced analytics. At Qlik World 2023, we saw how augmented intelligence (AI) is transforming the way businesses interact with data.
AI-powered tools are allowing businesses to not only analyze data but also predict outcomes and provide actionable insights. This is helping businesses make better-informed decisions and stay ahead of their competition. Qlik’s AutoML capabilities seamlessly integrated into the Qlik Sense Analytical applications which provide not only what happens in your business, but also what-if scenarios in real time at the point of your decisions.
3- The Importance of Collaboration & Innovation: Finally, the third takeaway from Qlik World 2023 is the importance of collaboration & innovation. Qlik is listening to partners and customers very actively to make it available best possible data integration and data analytics solutions to the ecosystem. It gives a huge confidence for the ecosystem to feel that support from Qlik.
In conclusion, Qlik World 2023 was an eye-opening experience that highlighted the importance of data integration, augmented intelligence, collaboration, and innovation. As we move forward in this rapidly evolving business landscape, businesses need to adapt to stay ahead. By embracing these three key takeaways, businesses can leverage the power of data to make better-informed decisions and achieve their goals.
